Privacy Policy

The short version: your family's data belongs to your family. We don't sell it, we don't show ads, we don't track your kids' locations, and every family's data is isolated from every other family's. You can export or delete everything at any time.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and the name you choose to display.
- Family content you create: calendar events, lists, chores, allowance records, meal plans, recipes, kid profiles (name, color, and preferences entered by a parent), and an optional home address.
- Technical basics: logs necessary to operate and secure the service.
What we do with it
- Run FAM for your family — that's it. Your data is used to show your family its own calendar, lists, chores, meals, and briefs.
- Travel times: if you add a location to an event and a home address, we send those two locations to Google's routing service to compute drive time. We do not track anyone's live location or GPS.
- Recipe import: when you save a recipe from a link, the content at that link is processed by an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to extract the recipe. Only the recipe content is processed — nothing about your family.
Children
Kids in FAM exist as profiles created and managed entirely by their parents. Children do not create accounts, do not sign in, and no information is collected from children directly.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data to anyone.
- Show advertising or share data with advertisers.
- Track anyone's real-time location.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (hosted database infrastructure) with per-family isolation enforced at the database layer, encrypted in transit and at rest.
Your controls
You can export your family's data or delete your account and all associated family data at any time by emailing hello@joinfamapp.com. Self-serve export/delete is coming to the app.
