Sync runs every 15 minutes (edits from Google usually land in seconds). Check Family settings → your Google connection, and "Choose which calendars sync" to confirm the right calendars are checked.
Leave-by times appear up to 12 hours before a timed event that has a location. All-day events and events without a location don't get one. Make sure your Home base address is set in Family settings.
Tap the bell on the Today screen to enable them. On iPhone, use the app installed from the App Store or add FAM to your Home Screen from Safari first.
